Lateef Surakatu is the Partner and Head, Business Advisory Practice at Andersen in Nigeria. He has over 16 years of extensive and wide range of experience in leading/managing various projects in institutional transformation, sector and organisational reforms, finance strategy formulation, finance function transformation & redesign, and blueprint development & implementation.

He has assisted varied industries ranging from non-profit, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, oil & gas and public sectors; especially providing reform advisory services to state institutions.

Prior to joining Andersen, he was an Associate Director in the Advisory Practice of KPMG Professional Services where he led many large finance function transformation and implementation projects in key sectors of our economy. He was the project manager for financial reporting transformation project for a national oil company and its twenty-three (23) subsidiaries, where he assisted the company to clear the backlog of its six (6) years audit. A major feat which has put the company on the right stead for sound and reliable financial reporting process.

Lateef is a versatile and dedicated professional who has gained experience across several competency areas.

He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), UK and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).
