Olayinka Oluata is a Senior Manager in the Private Clients and Family Wealth practice at Andersen in Nigeria. She specialises in providing workable tax management and advisory solutions to companies in the oil and gas industry.

Olayinka worked with WTS Adebiyi & Associates as the Tax Manager.

She was involved in the supervision and management of the Tax compliance section of the firm, she also provided tax advice to clients in Nigeria and attended to tax matters and reconciliation meetings between clients and tax regulatory bodies.

She worked as Head of Strategic Audit/Investigation unit of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service as the Deputy Revenue Officer who provides tax review, investigation and verification exercise. She also conducted investigations of petitions received from whistle blowers and has chaired Tax Review Reconciliation meetings between the Board representatives and selected companies.

Prior to being the Deputy Revenue officer, she has worked as the Assistant Revenue Officer and the Senior Revenue Officer respectively. Her roles involved ensuring the carrying out of in-house investigation on selected companied as instructed by the Chairman of the Board. She also reviewed company’s computed tax liability under Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) scheme for local and expatriate staff to determine compliance with the Personal Income Tax Law. The computation of a company’s Withholding Tax (WHT) liability and determination of compliance with the relevant tax law.

She also has banking experience with Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria from 2007 to 2008.
